NEW CREATION MYSTERIES #9: Uncertain Times
Dear New Creation,
Isaiah 26:3 KJV
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee : because he trusteth in thee.”
Nothing is sure. In this times we live in, nothing is sure. No one can accurately predict the absence of war, famine or an outbreak of disease. No one expected the ebola outbreak in 2014. Economists have been predicting the end to the recession of a few years but they are being silenced daily. Otherwise peaceful territories are seeing an increase in violence world wide with terror alerts in almost every major world country.
In what can we trust in these uncertain times? The worker can’t predict when the next downsizing will be. The mother can’t tell what her child will contact at school. The father can’t guarantee protection and financial security for his family all year.
These are definitely uncertain times and who do we trust to help us through who isn’t also looking to someone or something else.
Education as a support is uncertain. Money is uncertain. Medicine is uncertain. Politics is uncertain. Life itself is uncertain. Finally someone said, even this God thing we do every Sunday is uncertain. Yes you’re right.
In all this uncertainty let me point you to the surest thing.
In this world of uncertainty, the greatest certainty is the uncertainty of the Holy Spirit. The heart that is in tune with him and his leading will navigate through this troubled times like a boss. Ill Winds and economic waves crashing around him will not phase him. He will be kept in perfect peace body, spirit and soul.
No matter how dark it may get, fix your gaze on God and let his spirit be your Life navigation system. He has a track record of excellent performance and he will see you through.
God Bless You!
