15 ways to make your life better this summer

Stumbled on this article on Success magazine article before heading to church. But instead of reading its content, I started wandering what I would have wrote had I been asked to write an article on ‘—- Ways To Make Your Life Better.’

Here are my thoughts;

1. Receive Christ’s Free Gift of Salvation:
if you are not born again, this is the very first thing you MUST do now to make your life better. Living your life without a relationship with Jesus is missing out on the best that life has to offer.

Jesus died and rose again not only to save you from your sin but even more importantly, Jesus paid the price to bring you into a love relationship with God. Only in God can your life (both here on earth and for all eternity) be preserved from the ultimate enemy of your soul – satan. Receive Jesus’ invitation and become part of God’s family

2. Remain Committed to Growing in Your Knowledge of God’s Word:
God HAS provided all that we need for life and godly living but It is our knowledge & understanding of God’s Word that determines the extent to which we will enjoy all that God has freely given us.

Never let other people be the sole source of your knowledge of God’s Word. Your heavenly Father longs to speak to you directly. So if indeed you want your life to be better, then commit yourself to a more rigorous and regular study of God’s Word.

3. Learn to be Better Acquainted With The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit is Christ’s greatest gift to the believer. He is our God ordained teacher, comforter, guide, standby, & intercessor.

Commit to deepening fellowship with him. Study God’s word and Christian literature to learn more about his very important role in your life and learn to fellowship with him even more often than before.

4. Review How You Spend Your Time:
We’re already half way through the year. How well have you done in achieving the goals you set for this year? Making your life better will entail doing more of all it takes for you to live your life purposefully.

As you review just how you spend your time, you’re sure to see if you’ve somehow allowed distractions into your life which have the ability to keep you from achieving your goals. Be sure then to weed out these distractions and refocus your endeavors to see your goals achieved as earlier planned.

5. Pray In The Holy Ghost More Often:
Building up yourself on your most holy faith – praying in the Holy Ghost.” Jude 20 (NKJV)

Since the just shall live by his or her own faith, every investment into building our faith will in turn help us live better lives this side of heaven. Invest more time in praying in the Holy Spirit, whether exclusively or while engaged in other activities.

6. Read…Read…Read:
There’s a reason why the most successful people in every field invest time, no matter how busy they are, to study books and relevant materials in their areas of interest. They do this cos they know that our lives only get better when we act better and we cannot act any better than we know to act.

So read. Make out time to read. Don’t make excuses, just read. Choose materials that’ll help you learn the things you need to know to move closer to your dreams and read them. Read. Read & Read.

7. Take Action:
Proverbs 24:3-5(TLB)
“Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.”

Knowledge without application serves no useful purpose. So make your life better by taking action to apply the knowledge you’ve acquired from God’s Word and other relevant books you’ve studied. Only in applying what we learn will we ever get the results we seek.

8. Always Be Thankful:
Regardless of what the past 6-months of 2015 have been like, I command you to smile, laugh, rejoice & stay thankful. LOL!!!

You’re alive and of a sound mind (if not you won’t have been able to read this post ☺️) so I’m sure you’ve got something to be thankful for. With life comes hope – hope that God will continue to work things out in our favor. So stay thankful and expectant. God’s got so much in store for us both so don’t fret 👍🏻
