MIDE’s DIARY: Day 14 of 30
- Bruce jenner, Creation, Gender, Gender change, Gender Dysphoria, Sex change, Transgender
- June 23, 2015
The sight of Bruce Jenner’s, sowi, Caitlyn’s photo pierced my heart. It made me wonder how Bruce or Caitlyn (as he’s now chosen to be called) got to this point. It also made reconsider the question?
“What exactly does God’s Word say about having a sex change?”
But before I continue on that topic, Please forgive me for not fulfilling my promise to share my journal entries with you for 30 days in a row🙈😁
I pledge not to let this kind of long silence repeat itself again, so help me God.
And yes, Ifeoma the owner of this blog didn’t even help matters. She should have put more pressure on me to meet my writing commitment right? Lol 😝 Well enough with the finger pointing, lets just continue with the program *winks*
On my way to church for a prayer meeting. Woke up just in time to brush my mouth, rinse my face, change clothes & get going. Don’t roll your eyes at me for not having taking a shower. The meeting was only for about an hour and I’ll still do some chores when I return home after the meeting , so no need to spend time bathing and end up late.
I hope you don’t think I’m a pig ooo.
Looking, wandering, planning, hoping.
Yeah. T’was around this time I saw a second picture of the ‘new and transformed’ Bruce Jenner.
A brief wave of sadness swept over me. Something was wrong with what was happening. God just couldn’t be cool with this. Or could He?
You know, the Bible doesn’t directly address the issue of whether having a sex change is right or wrong. However, I think it’s pretty easy to deduce from God’s Word that sex change operations are sinful.
Why I believe sex change procedures are a sin
1, In the beginning God made us Male & Female (Gen 1:27-28, Matt. 19:4-5) and everything God created was not only excellent but was made to suit for its unique purpose. (Gen 1:31, Prov, 16:4a ESV)
To now attempt to change a person’s gender whether partially or completely seems to me an affront to God. In my opinion, such an action carries with it the message;
“God, I don’t think you knew what you were doing when you created me.
You made a mistake because who I am inside doesn’t fit this earth suit you put me in.
You made a very big mistake and I am going to correct it myself.”
Such a disposition shows an unwillingness to submit to God or His will and that itself is a definition of sin.
2. God’s Word directly condemns homosexuality (Rom. 1:26-28, 1Corinthians 6:9) and cross dressing (Deut. 22:5) and a person who undergoes a sex change is very likely to indulge in both as a lifestyle.
All in all, I think it’s just sad that Bruce Jenner didn’t turn to Jesus to set him free from the spirit behind the gender dysphoria he’s suffered all these years. I however still believe there’s hope for Mr Jenner in Jesus, should ‘Caitlyn’ realize this sex change thing was a horrible mistake.
