THE IMMINENT IN 2015
Compared to Year 2010 which started a new decade, the year 2015 starts the second half of the decade ;-). Personally in your life, you would have recorded remarkable feats and some disappointments in the first 5 years of this decade. Therefore in retrospect, coming into 2015, the middle of the decade, I would like you to look at the next five years left in the decade and not just the year 2015 alone. I have had my thoughts in this light and this has helped me to reorganize my goals and redesign some plans that have failed in previous years. Thinking of 2015 as the start of another important set of 5-years, has also helped me to set a time tag within the next five years to get better, tangible results for all my goals and has also helped to train my mind to recognize evolving opportunities.
2015 no doubt brings with it a lot of changes for not just individuals but also for nations and businesses. For instance, in Nigeria, general elections would be held in 2015 to elect political leaders to govern the nation for the next 4 years. So also, the year 2015 is pregnant with a lot of change In all aspect of our lives. For some people this year marriage will be the first thing on their to do list, others may intend to start new businesses, some desire to enroll into skill development schools, others want to get admitted to a higher institution of learning. No matter the goal at hand Change is imminent.
At this juncture, would like to help you recall some verses of scripture that would help you kick start the year:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
“He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. “
Jesus’ life was simply remarkable and worthy of emulation. In just three years of ministry Jesus Christ had made great impact. But a point came when a major shift and change was about to occur in his life. The story as read in the book of Matthew , Chapter 26, depicts the pain and the discomfort of the change about to occur. From the story, Jesus was wise to get few of his disciples to come to the garden of Gethsemane to pray along with him. In others words,
wrong people in your life who do not understand the demands of your transition to a new level, can actually stop the change process God may have for you.
You see the year 2015 will come with some trials and temptations from the devil to make you live below God’s expectations and make you maintain the status quo, but I perceive a change coming to your life, relationships, family, businesses etc only if we trust God’s own plans and directions. In the year 2015 many will be at cross roads where the next step they take would affect the rest of their lives. It’s important that we submit our wills to God for guidance and corrections where necessary for a favorable outcome. Truth is, we would not always see the sense in God’s plan at the start, but obedience to God’s plans have never proven to fail anyone. Trust God for a better walk with him in 2015, trust God to also provide for your needs and to also give you a new beginning for every set back you have experienced.
So like Jesus Christ, be committed to engaging and attracting the right people to your life, honor God with the goals and plans that you have put in perspective to be achieved within the next five years and be sure to honestly seek that God’s will be done in all aspects of your life.
May these words bring peace to you as you make the right choices and navigate the cross roads in the year 2015. May you carry the rich aroma of God’s glory, favor and presence. I pray that you be restored and compensated for all you have lost in the past years. I pray you be strengthened by the Holy Spirit and I pray also that the discomfort and pain that would come with your change process in 2015, will not discourage you but would rather make you better. You are blessed. In Jesus Name, Amen
God loves you-never forget that. Happy new year to you.
